After you’ve assigned Cost Codes and Equipment to a project, you can view, interact with, and manage them easily in Project View Mode — without needing to edit the full project.

📄 What You See

  • A list of all Cost Codes assigned to the project.
  • Organized into categories:
    • Labor
    • Material
    • Overhead
    • Equipment

🛠️ Actions Available (View Mode)

View Cost Code Details:

  • Name
  • Description
  • Category
  • Linked Budget Amounts

No Editing in View Mode:

You’ll need to enter Edit Mode if you want to add or change cost codes.

Inside the Equipment tab:


📄 What You See

  • List of all equipment assigned to the project.
  • Key fields shown:
    • Equipment Name
    • Equipment History

🛠️ Actions Available (View Mode)

  • Click on Equipment to open its full profile:
    • View detailed information (costs, notes, files).
    • See assigned cost codes.
    • Check forecasting dates (start/end onsite dates).
    • View history timeline (movements, status changes).
  • Edit Equipment Details:
    • Inside the equipment profile, click Edit if needed (based on your permissions).

Keep Forecast Dates Updated:

Especially important for large equipment — so teams know when to move resources.

Use Labels for Easier Searching:

Equipment labels (like "Heavy Equipment," "Electrical Tools") make tracking easier on big projects.

Project View Mode = Safe Viewing:

No risk of accidental changes — you can confidently explore without editing anything unless you deliberately go into Edit Mode.

Detailed History for Equipment:

Always check the History tab inside equipment profiles for a full audit trail!
