🧭 Introduction

In the Ontraccr mobile app, the My Tasks section under the “More” menu provides a powerful, categorized view of all tasks assigned to the user — plus full task creation and editing capabilities, including linking to equipment, board cards, and forms.

This guide explains how to navigate your personal task list, manage overdue items, and create new tasks from the field.


📍 Where to Find It

  1. Tap the “More” button (bottom-right corner of the mobile app)
  2. Tap “My Tasks”

🗂️ Task Categories

Tasks are automatically grouped into four buckets:

OverdueTasks past their due date, not marked as done
NextTasks due soon, not overdue
UnscheduledTasks with no due date set

You can expand/collapse each group by tapping the category title.


✅ Marking a Task as Done

  1. Tap a task from any category to open it
  2. Tap “Status” and select “Done”
  3. Tap Save icon (top-right)
  4. Tap Save again to confirm

Once saved, the task will disappear from your active list.


✏️ Editing Task Details

From any task, you can:

  • Change title or description
  • Modify due date
  • Toggle priority (Low, Medium, High)
  • Change status (To Do, In Progress, Done)

➕ Creating a New Task

  1. Tap the “+” icon (top-right in My Tasks)
  2. Fill in the following fields:

Required:

  • Title (all tasks must have a title)

Optional:

  • Description (supports speech-to-text input)
  • Link Type:
    • General (default)
    • Equipment (choose specific equipment)
    • Board Card (choose specific board + card)
  • Status (To Do, In Progress, Done)
  • Due Date
  • Repeat Options:
    • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Annually, Every Weekday
    • Select an end date for repeating tasks

🔔 Reminder Emails

You can assign reminder notifications to other users:

  1. Tap the plus icon beside “Reminder Emails”
  2. Search and select team members
  3. Add one or more reminder triggers:
    • Set reminder for X days/weeks before due date

🏷️ Set Task Priority

Choose from:

  • Lowest
  • Low
  • Medium (default)
  • High
  • Highest

This can help visually prioritize work in task lists.


📎 Attachments & Photos

  1. Tap the paperclip icon to attach files:
    • From Ontraccr file storage
    • From mobile photo library
    • Take a live photo using the camera icon
  2. Attachments are uploaded and tied to the task record

📝 Preload a Form Template

You can link a form directly to a task:

  1. Tap “Form Template”
  2. Select a form from the global list
  3. Optionally, pre-fill fields to save time for the assignee
  4. This creates a form-task combo workflow

🔍 Filter Tasks

Use the filter icon (top-right in My Tasks) to show only:

  • Equipment-related tasks
  • Board card tasks
  • General tasks

Apply filters to zero in on the work that matters most.

With the “My Tasks” feature in the mobile app, users can:

  • Stay on top of upcoming, overdue, and unscheduled work
  • Create and assign structured, actionable tasks on the go
  • Link tasks to equipment, board cards, and forms
  • Set reminders and automate task workflows
