Bring Your Analytics to Life with Interactive Visual Dashboards
Ontraccr Dashboards let you centralize and visualize the analytics you’ve built from Boards, Forms, Time Cards, and more. You can combine widgets, resize elements, and customize layouts to track what matters most—all in one place.
🧭 Where Dashboards Live
To access dashboards, click Dashboard from the left-hand menu.
- You'll see the default dashboard (Clock In/Out, Live Feed, Quick Stats)
- You can create and manage custom dashboards from here
🛠️ How to Create a New Dashboard
Step-by-Step:
- Go to the Dashboard page
- Click the “Dashboard” dropdown at the top
- Click + New Dashboard
- Use the edit pencil to name your dashboard (e.g., Safety Compliance Overview)
- Click Edit again → then Add Widget to begin assembling your dashboard
➕ Available Widget Types
When adding a widget, you’ll see five main categories:
1. Default Widgets
System tools built into the platform:
- Clock: Clock in/out feature
- Quick Stats: Shows active users, inactive users, pending/submitted/approved time cards
- Live Feed: Internal messaging tool (chat feed with attachments)
- Tasks: View tasks across users (see note on permissions)
2. Forms (Analytics Widgets)
Widgets based on saved form analytics (e.g., FLHA submissions, hazard summaries)
- Supports all saved form-based analytics
- Use filters by project, user, etc. depending on widget setup
3. Form Exports
Add saved form exports directly into a dashboard:
- Supports filtering by:
- Users
- Projects
- Customers
- Equipment
- Buckets
- Has an Export to CSV button directly on the widget
✅ Highly recommended for customers using Exports—provides a clean, quick reporting view.
4. Boards (Analytics Widgets)
Widgets for analytics you've created based on board data:
- Choose from any saved board report
- Resize and rearrange widgets freely
- Some charts (like Pie Charts) support drill-down into underlying data
5. Time Tracking Exports
Same as Form Exports, but for time tracking data:
- Filters available:
- User
- Project
- Cost Code
- Time Type
- Supports export and pay period filtering
🧩 Dashboard Features
- Widget Resizing: Click and drag to adjust each widget’s size
- Multiple Dashboards: Create as many as you need for different purposes (e.g., Estimating, Safety, Operations)
- Save in Progress: Leave dashboards as "pending" while assembling them—save when finalized
⭐ Starring a Dashboard (Set as Default View)
Want a dashboard to load by default when you log in?
- Navigate to your preferred dashboard
- Click the star icon next to its name
📌 Starred dashboards are user-specific. Everyone controls their own favorites.
🔐 Permissions and Access
- Dashboards are private: Each user has their own dashboards
- Analytics reports are shared: Other users with Analytics access can use saved reports to build their own dashboards
- No permissions on Tasks widget: All tasks can be viewed unless changes are made later
♻️ Refreshing Data
Click the refresh icon at the top of the dashboard to pull the latest data for all widgets.
🧠 Tips
- Use dashboards for:
- Field safety tracking (e.g., FLHA completions)
- Labor cost summaries (e.g., hours worked per job)
- Quote tracking (e.g., deal size by estimator)
- Build once → use everywhere: dashboards created in the Projects or Board Cards area may automatically apply across other cards/projects in that board or company
