🧹 Filtering, Searching, and Archiving Teams in Ontraccr

As your organization grows, so does the number of teams in your system. Ontraccr provides built-in tools to search, filter, and archive teams — helping you keep your workspace organized and easy to navigate. This article explains how to use these tools effectively.

🔍 Searching Teams by Name

At the top of the Manage Teams page, you’ll find a search bar.

How it works:

  • Start typing a team name.
  • Results will filter live, showing only teams that match your search.

📌 Search is based on team name only. Other fields (e.g., members or projects) are not searchable here.

🎛️ Filtering Active vs Archived Teams

Ontraccr separates teams into two categories:

  • Active Teams (default view)
  • Archived Teams

How to Filter:

  1. Click the red Filter button on the Manage Teams page.
  2. Select either:
    • Status: Active
    • Status: Archived

This helps declutter your main view by hiding inactive or legacy teams.

📥 How to Archive a Team

Archiving a team removes it from the default view but does not delete any users, time entries, or schedules associated with that team.

To archive:

  1. Click the team name to open the profile.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. Click the Archive button at the bottom of the form.
  4. Confirm the archive action.

🧠 Tip: Use archiving when a project finishes or a crew disbands, but you still need records for reporting.

🗑️ Deleting a Team Permanently

If a team is no longer needed:

  1. Filter to view Archived Teams.
  2. Locate the team.
  3. Click the Delete icon.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

⚠️ Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
