Every project you create in Ontraccr automatically gets its own dedicated folder in the file storage system. These folders are designed to keep all project-related files in one organized place — and they’re easy to access from multiple entry points.

🛠 How Project Folders Are Created

• When you create a new project in Ontraccr, a matching folder is automatically created inside the Projects folder of your division.
• This happens instantly — no extra steps required.

📁 Example: If your division is called “Commercial,” and you create a project named “Warehouse Expansion,” you’ll see a folder for “Warehouse Expansion” inside Commercial > Projects.

📍 Where to Access Project Folders

There are two ways to access a project’s folder:

1. From the Projects Page

Go to the Projects section

Click into any project

Navigate to the Files tab

✔ This shows you a pre-filtered view of the folder tied to that specific project

2. From the Documents → Files Section

Go to Documents in the left-hand sidebar

Click Files

Open your division’s main folder

Navigate to the Projects folder inside

✔ You’ll see a list of all project folders under that division

📂 Working With Project Files

Once you're inside a project folder, you can:

• Add new folders or upload files directly
• Manage permissions for the entire project folder
• Drill down to set view/edit access for specific subfolders or individual files

🧠 Note: File access depends on folder-level permissions. If a user doesn't have access to the main project folder, they won't see any of the files inside — even if they were granted access to a subfolder.

🌐 File Visibility Consistency

• The contents shown in the Files tab of a project are the exact same as what you'd see from the file system — just pre-filtered to that project
• This allows you to manage project documents from wherever is most convenient
