🏗️ What Is the Gantt Schedule?

The Gantt Schedule is a long-term planning tool used to:

• Map project tasks over time
• Plan labor, materials, and equipment
• Visualize project phases in a timeline format

🧠 While the Field Schedule is for day-to-day labor, the Gantt Schedule is used for forecasting, sequencing, and high-level planning.

🧰 Typical Use Cases

• Project planning across weeks or months
• Resource allocation (who, what, when)
• Connecting planned work to field execution
• Scheduling milestones and task dependencies

🧭 How to Access the Gantt Schedule

1. Go to Scheduling in the left navigation
2. Click Gantt Schedule
3. You’ll land on the main Gantt interface

📂 Types of Gantt Schedules

There are three types of Gantt schedules you can access from the dropdown at the top-left:

1. Project Schedules (Auto-created)

• Automatically created when you make a new project
• Tied directly to the project
• Can also be accessed from the Projects page (via the Gantt tab)

🧠 Best for mapping out tasks related to a specific job.

2. General Schedules

• Not tied to any project
• Used for custom planning (e.g., internal resource forecasting, equipment usage)

📋 Ideal for generalized operations or team-wide initiatives.

3. Master Schedule

• Lets you combine multiple project schedules into one master view
• You can overlay tasks from different projects in a single timeline

📊 Great for seeing the big picture across your entire company or division.

At the top of the Gantt Schedule interface, you’ll find:
