🔎 Filtering and Sorting Customers in Ontraccr
Ontraccr’s Contacts > Customers tab includes built-in filters and sorting tools that help you quickly navigate and organize your customer database. Whether you're looking for archived clients, filtering by labels, or checking for unread messages, this article walks through every filter and sorting option available.
📂 Available Filters
Click the Filter button in the Customers view to reveal filtering options. You can combine multiple filters for more precise results.
1. Labels
- Filter customers based on assigned labels like:
- “Retail”
- “Commercial”
- “VIP”
- “Problem Client”
- Labels are created during customer entry or via editing.
2. Message Status
- Filter customers based on Client Portal messaging activity:
- Unread messages
- Read messages
- Helps prioritize clients awaiting a response.
3. Status
- Toggle between:
- Active customers (default)
- Archived customers
- Useful when reviewing inactive relationships or cleaning up your records.
🔃 Sorting Options
Ontraccr lets you sort the customer list by Name, alphabetically.
Options:
- Ascending (A → Z)
- Descending (Z → A)
This helps quickly locate clients by company name or contact name depending on how you organize your entries.

- See only customers with unread messages for fast follow-ups
