🧱 Creating and Using Custom Board Templates in Ontraccr

Overview

Board Templates in Ontraccr let you save reusable blueprints for your boards — including statuses, card designs, and layouts. This is ideal for teams that frequently build boards for similar workflows, projects, or departments.

🎯 Why Use Board Templates?

Custom templates help you:

  • Save time when setting up recurring boards
  • Standardize workflows across teams
  • Ensure consistent statuses, fields, and design
  • Avoid manual setup each time a new board is needed

🧩 What’s Included in a Board Template?

When you create a board template, you define:

  • The name and description of the template
  • The card design (card type) to be used
  • The statuses (columns) for the board
  • Any default field structure based on your card design

Templates do not include cards — they’re for structure only.
