Using Full-Screen View in Ontraccr Boards

🖥️ Using Full-Screen View in Ontraccr Boards

Overview

The Full-Screen View option in Ontraccr expands your board to use the entire browser window, giving you more space to view columns, cards, and timelines — especially helpful when managing large workflows or working on smaller screens.

🎯 Why Use Full-Screen Mode?

Use Full-Screen View to:

  • See more columns at once without scrolling
  • Work on large boards more comfortably
  • Focus without sidebar distractions
  • Present or screen-share a board in meetings or reviews

🧩 How to Enter Full-Screen View

  1. Open any board.
  2. Look for the expand arrows icon beside the view dropdown (top right of the board).
  3. Click the icon to enter full-screen mode.

✅ The board will now take up the entire browser window, hiding navigation menus.

🧩 How to Exit Full-Screen View

  • Click the same Full-Screen icon (now shown as a minimize or collapse icon) to return to standard view.
  • You can also hit ESC on your keyboard.

📐 How It Affects Board Display

Display AreaBenefit in Full-Screen
Card ViewSee more columns and cards side by side
List ViewView longer lists with less scrolling
Timeline ViewSee more timeline bars across a larger date range

You can also zoom in/out using your browser to fine-tune what’s visible.

✅ Example Use Cases

ScenarioWhy Full-Screen Helps
Project review meetingPresent the board to the team with maximum visibility
Managing a complex PO trackerSee all statuses on one screen without scrolling
Timeline-based schedulingVisualize overlapping timelines with more date range in view
Admin setupConfigure statuses, card fields, and filters without layout constraints

🧠 Tips & Edge Cases

  • Works best on larger monitors or widescreens
  • Combine with zoom out (Ctrl - / Cmd -) to fit even more columns on-screen
  • Use for clean presentations during demos, team meetings, or client walkthroughs
  • Full-screen mode affects only your view — it doesn’t change how others see the board
