🧭 Introduction
With the Ontraccr mobile app, you can fully view, create, and edit projects directly from your device — including files, notes, cost codes, time approvers, and more. Whether you're a field supervisor or project admin, the Projects tab in the More menu gives you full access to project records.
This article breaks down each tab and tool available within the mobile Projects section.
📍 How to Access Projects
- Tap “More” in the bottom nav bar
- Tap “Projects”
You’ll see a list of all current projects, subject to your role’s permissions.
🔐 Roles and Permissions: If you have only View Projects permission, the list is read-only.
If you have Manage Projects permission, you can edit, create, and archive projects from the app.
🧭 Project Dashboard Tabs
Tapping a project opens the project dashboard, where you'll see several tabs:
1. Info
- View project title, number, division, type, address, customer, approvers, and more
- Tap the ✏️ pencil icon (top-right) to edit details
Editable Fields:
- Name, number, type
- Address (with Google Maps-integrated lookup)
- Division
- Customer (from dropdown)
- Time card approvers (1st and 2nd)
- Info notes
- QuickBooks Class (if enabled)
- Geofencing settings:
- Enable toggle
- Set radius (e.g., 0.3 km)
- Select coordinates or typed address
📌 If “Use Coordinates” is toggled on, you can specify the project location by lat/long instead of street address.
2. Files
- Browse all folders/files stored under the project
- Tap files to open or preview them
- Tap the three-dot menu to rename files or folders
3. Notes
- Add job notes that sync to the web
- Tap “Add Note”, type your comment, and tap Enter
- Notes cannot be edited or deleted after submission
4. Cost Codes
- See categorized list:
- Material, Overhead, Labor, Equipment
- Tap a code to view details
- Tap Edit (top-right) to manage:
You can:
- Add new codes from scratch or from global list
- Set category, number, name, description
- Enter hourly/daily billing rates
- Configure custom cost code fields if set up on web
- Tap the trash icon to remove/disable a code
5. Billing
- Shows all invoice-type forms submitted for this project
- Tap an entry to view the full invoice form
6. Work Orders
- Log of all submitted work order-type forms
- Tap to open any individual record
7. Other Forms
- View all other form submissions tied to this project
- Use search bar to filter (e.g., search “Toolbox”)
- Tap any form to view contents
8. Equipment
- List of all equipment assigned to the project
- Tap an item to open its full equipment profile
9. Board Cards
- Lists all board cards tagged to the project
- Tap to open and manage any card
10. Gantt
- View-only tab for the project’s Gantt schedule
- Gantt charts cannot be created or edited on mobile — only viewed
➕ Creating a New Project
- Tap the “+” icon (top-right in Projects page)
- Fill in project info, same fields as editing
- Navigate through setup:
- Info
- Cost Codes
- Budget setup (must be completed in Web App)
- Tap Save (top-right) to complete creation
❗Budget/contract creation is not available on mobile — it must be done in the web app.

Tap the question mark icon (top-right) for a navigation guide explaining:
- Required fields
- Step-by-step flow (e.g., “Next” through Info → Cost Codes → Save)

With the Projects section in the mobile app, authorized users can:
- View, create, and manage project data from the field
- Add/edit cost codes, attach files, and leave notes
- Track invoice, work order, and form submission history
- Access equipment, Gantt, and board card info in one place
