Update 3.8.0
Version 3.8.0 includes a ton of updates to OnTraccr’s file management system. Companies can also now create their own custom push notifications in workflows and even have board tasks created automatically once the card status is changed.
Please Note: The mobile app will require an update via the iOS App Store or Google Play Store in order for mobile users to update to 3.8.0
Please see the full release notes for version 3.8.0 below:
Web App 3.8.0
File Management Updates
- We’ve added a number of improvements to the way files are stored and managed in OnTraccr. In the web app:
- Previously, files could only be annotated when sending to another user or uploading into a form. Now, files can also be annotated directly in the files/folders pages. When viewing a file, click the annotate icon to add an annotation, click the Save icon to save it to the file.
- Multiple files can now be uploaded at the same time.
Ability to Customize Workflow Push Notifications
- You can now fully customize the text in push notifications in OnTraccr. The ’Notify in App’ workflow step now includes a new ‘Configure’ menu. Click ‘Configure’ on the workflow step to configure the text that the push notification should display for users at that specific part of the workflow. You can either enter a custom message by typing it into the ‘Custom Message’ field directly, or you can even link the push notification to a form text field so that the push notification can be customized with specific details in the form every time it’s submitted.
Introducing the new Automatic Task Creation Workflow
- In the OnTraccr boards system, you can now set up a workflow to automatically create tasks whenever a card is moved to a specific new status in the board. You can create as many of these workflows per status as you’d like.
- To add an automatic task creation workflow, open the ‘Workflows’ page in the Board’s settings slider. When adding a new workflow, you’ll see a new option for the workflow type titled ‘Create tasks on status change’. When configuring the workflow, choose the trigger ‘Status’, which means the tasks will be created in the card whenever it is moved into this specified status. You can create brand new tasks within the workflow by clicking ‘Add’ or you can also import from your task templates by clicking ‘Import from Template’. Click ’Submit’ to save the workflow and click ’Submit’ again in the board settings slider to add the workflow to the board.
New ‘View Form Log’ Role Permission
- We’ve added a new role-based permission to control which user roles are able to view the company’s form log in the web app. The new permission can be found in the usual ‘Roles & Permissions’ settings page.
Bug Fixes & Other Improvements
- Fixed an issue where certain larger files would not open with the correct dimensions in the web app.
- Fixed an issue where long shifts which spanned multiple months would not display correctly in subsequent months in the Field Schedule.
Mobile App 3.8.0
