📘 Article Purpose
This article explains each of the 7 scheduling views available in the Field Schedule. You’ll learn what each view does, when to use it, and how they differ.
👀 Where to Find the View Selector
In the top-right area of the Field Schedule, next to the filter icon, you’ll see a dropdown with available view options.
🗂️ The 7 Field Schedule Views
1. Day View
- Shows a company-wide snapshot for a single day.
- Best for dispatching or reviewing same-day shift activity.
🧠 Tip: Use this view when you're making real-time adjustments.
2. Week View (Default View)
- Displays all users and all shifts for the current week.
- Lets you toggle between weeks via the date selector.
📆 Great for weekly planning and visual load balancing across teams.
3. Month View
- Calendar-style overview for the entire month.
- Shift display becomes more condensed as you zoom out.
🔍 You can still click any shift to see full details.
4. User Day View
- Horizontal layout with users across the top.
- Each user’s day is broken down hour-by-hour.
👥 Use when assigning multiple shifts per user per day.
5. User Weekdays View
- Shows Monday–Friday view for each user.
- Shifts are grouped under each user row.
👷 Useful for viewing full work weeks for individuals.
6. User Week View
- Same as Weekdays View but includes Saturday & Sunday.
📅 Ideal for companies that operate 7 days a week.
7. User Biweekly View
- A 2-week calendar view, with:
- Users on the vertical axis
- Dates on the horizontal axis
- Provides a broad overview of user assignments across multiple weeks.
🔁 Especially useful for larger teams or rotating schedules.
🔀 Switching Between Views
Use the dropdown at the top-right of the Field Schedule.
All views support:
- Drag-and-drop shift assignment from the unassigned shift queue
- Search, filtering, and zoom features
🔍 Filtering Works Across All Views
Filters for:
- Title
- Users
- Teams
- Divisions
…will apply regardless of the selected view.
🔎 Zooming In and Out
You can zoom any view from 25% to 200%:
- Click the + / – magnifying glass
- Helpful for seeing more shifts in one screen or focusing in on details
