🔎 Filtering and Searching Projects in Ontraccr Overview
When you're managing a growing list of projects, quickly finding what you need becomes critical.
Ontraccr’s Search and Filter tools on the Projects page help you zero in on exactly the projects you're looking for — without endless scrolling.
🎯 What You Can Do
- Search by Project Name or Project Number
- Filter by:
- Active vs. Archived status
- Contract Status (Active, Expiring Soon, Expired)
- Project Type (custom categories you define)
🔎 How Search Works
At the top of the Projects page, you’ll find the Search Bar.
- Start typing a project name or number.
- As you type, matching projects instantly appear.
✅ Bonus: You can search partial names or numbers — no need to type full words.
🎛️ How to Use Filters
Filters give you superpower control over what’s shown in your project list.
- Click the Filter button (button at the top right).
- Choose from these filter options:
- Active Projects
- Archived Projects
- Contract Status:
- Active Contracts
- Expiring Soon
- Expired
- Project Type (custom categories like "Service Work," "Commercial Build," etc.)
- Select or deselect checkboxes to customize your view.
🧠 Tips & Edge Cases
Stack Filters Together:
Example: You can view only Archived projects that have an Expired Contract by checking both filters at once.
Active is Default:
When no filters are applied, Ontraccr shows only Active projects by default.
Need Archived Projects?
Always remember to uncheck Active and check Archived to hide your current active jobs.
Project Type Filters:
You can create your own Project Types under Settings > Customization > Types if you want better organization.
✅ Example Scenario
You need to find all "Commercial" projects that have an expiring contract soon.
Here's how you do it:
- Click Filter.
- Check Expiring Soon Contracts.
- Check Project Type: Commercial.
- Voilà — list narrowed down!
