The Materials Table in Ontraccr lets you track project material usage with precision. It pulls directly from your materials database and offers real-time entry from the field. Whether you’re billing clients, managing inventory, or reporting on delivery usage, this table makes it easy to log every material used on a job.


🧱 What Is the Materials Table?

A Materials Table is a specialized version of the table field, connected to your Ontraccr Materials database. It allows form users to:

  • Select from existing materials
  • Add non-inventory materials (optional)
  • Record usage, units, costs, and more
  • Automatically calculate totals and line item values

🛠 How to Add a Materials Table to a Form

  1. Go to Step 2: Fields
  2. Add a new field and select Table as the Field Type
  3. In the Data Type dropdown, choose Materials
  4. Configure your columns, permissions, and options (see below)

📊 Available Columns for Materials

When you click Columns, you'll see all fields available in the materials database:

1. Add Material

  • Pulls from your internal Materials database
  • Opens a slider to browse folders and select multiple materials

2. Add New

  • Adds a custom material row (e.g., unplanned, one-off item)
  • All columns are blank—user types everything manually
  • Optional: Hide Add New Button to force selection from DB only

🔐 Privacy & PDF Settings

You can:

  • Click the gear icon ⚙️ next to each column to toggle:
    • Hide in PDF (e.g., hide unit cost from clients)
    • Lock column editing
