⚙️ Gantt Schedule Settings: Working Days, Holidays, and Task Labels

📘 Article Purpose

This article explains how to configure Gantt Schedule settings to ensure accurate timelines and resource visibility, including working days, custom holidays, and task labels.

⚙️ Where to Find Gantt Settings

In any Gantt Schedule view:

  1. Click the gear icon (⚙️) at the top right
  2. The Gantt Settings Slider opens with two tabs:
    • General
    • Appearance

📅 General Settings

🧱 Working Days

Use this to define which days are considered workdays in your organization.

Why it matters:

  • Gantt durations will ignore non-working days
  • Ensures task timelines reflect realistic labor availability

⚠️ You must have at least one working day selected

🎉 Holidays

Add specific non-working dates such as:

  • Stat holidays
  • Company-wide breaks

What they do:

  • Holidays are excluded from Gantt task duration calculations
  • Helps create realistic start/end dates

🏷️ Labels (Task Statuses)

Used to visually tag tasks in the Gantt chart.

How to Manage:

  1. Click Manage Labels (from the Settings slider)
  2. Or go to Settings > Labels > Gantt Labels

Default labels include:

  • Not Started
  • In Progress
  • Delayed
  • Finished

You can:

  • Add new labels
  • Edit names and colors
  • Delete unused ones

🎯 Use labels to track task status or create custom categories (e.g., “Needs Review”)

🎨 Appearance Tab

This tab controls what task details appear in your Gantt view.

Visible Columns

  • Choose which fields are shown in the left-hand table
  • Reorder columns using drag-and-drop

👁️ Useful for surfacing info like assigned users, durations, or notes

🖥️ Schedule View Toggle

Located at the top of the Gantt Schedule:

  • Schedule View (default) → Shows tasks in timeline format
  • List View → Hides the Gantt bars; shows a sortable list of tasks

🧭 Use List View to focus on task metadata instead of timelines
