📘 Overview

Ontraccr allows you to upload and store files directly within each equipment profile. These files serve as centralized documentation, enabling teams to easily access critical resources—like safety instructions or operating manuals—on both web and mobile.


📂 What Kind of Files Can Be Added?

You can attach any file relevant to a piece of equipment, including:

  • Safe usage guides
  • Operating instructions
  • Manufacturer manuals
  • Inspection checklists
  • Repair documentation
  • Compliance certificates

📥 How to Upload Files

When Creating or Editing Equipment:

  1. Go to the Equipment Page
  2. Click Add or Edit on an equipment profile
  3. Scroll to the Files section
  4. Click to upload files from your computer
  5. Submit the profile to save the attachments

📑 Viewing Files (Web)

To access attached files:

  1. Open an equipment profile
  2. Click the Files tab at the top of the profile
  3. View, download, or open any uploaded files

📱 Viewing Files (Mobile App)

On the Ontraccr mobile app:

  1. Tap into an equipment profile
  2. Navigate to the Files section (available as a dedicated tab)
  3. Tap a file to open or download it

✅ The mobile app supports viewing attached files just like the web, with the exception of the Timeline tab (not available on mobile).


🧠 Use Case Example

Scenario: You have a hydraulic trencher with a complex set of operating steps and safety warnings.

You upload:

  • The PDF operating manual
  • A safety checklist
  • A manufacturer warranty document

Field technicians can then scan the equipment QR code, open the profile on their mobile app, and instantly view these documents—even on-site.
