Labor cost and markup fields help you track install effort, service overhead, and billing strategies. Like material data, these fields can be updated in bulk using Ontraccr’s built-in mass edit tools.
🛠 How to Bulk Edit Labor Costs
- Select materials or assemblies on the Materials Page.
- Click “Change Labor Cost.”
- Enter the dollar amount to add (e.g., “+2.00”).
- Click Submit.
📌 Use Case: All items in a kit now require more install effort due to regulation changes.
📈 How to Bulk Edit Labor Markups
- Select relevant materials or assemblies.
- Click “Change Labor Markup.”
- Enter the percentage increase (e.g., “20%”).
- Click Submit.
📌 Use Case: Standard labor rate increase for a team or region.
🔄 Notes & Tips
- Changes are additive, not replacements.
- Example: If an item had $3 labor cost, adding $2 makes it $5.
- Always review filtered selections before applying mass edits.
