The Project Timeline Report in Ontraccr provides a visual, calendar-style overview of project durations based on their start and end dates. It functions like a lightweight Gantt chart, helping teams visualize how their projects line up over time.


📍 Accessing the Report

  1. Open the Reports section via the sidebar.
  2. Click Reports again to access the main reporting hub.
  3. Select Project Timeline from the list of standard templates.

🧭 What This Report Displays

This report visualizes the start and end dates of each project, laid out on a timeline. Each project appears as a horizontal bar across the date range, indicating its planned duration.


🔑 Prerequisite: Start & End Dates Required

To see a project on this report, the following fields must be filled out within the Project’s Budget page by enabling the Add Dates/Timelines? option:

  • Start Date
  • End Date

These fields must be set under each project's Budget page.

⚠️ If start and end dates are not filled in, the project will not appear in this report.


🛠️ Functionality

  • Select Projects: Choose specific jobs to display, or show all
  • Scroll Timeline: Horizontally scroll through dates to view all project bars
  • Zoom or Expand: Use the full-screen toggle to expand the visible chart area

This view is ideal for high-level planning, resource alignment, and conflict identification across projects.

📁 Export & Save Options

  • Save View: After applying project filters, save the view for reuse
