Overview

Ontraccr gives you full control over what data appears in your materials table. With the Columns configuration tool, you can show or hide fields to match your workflow — whether you're focused on cost tracking, quoting, or inventory.

This article explains how to customize the columns visible in your Materials Page view.


🛠 How to Access the Columns Tool

  1. Navigate to the Materials Page.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the “Columns” button (gear or dropdown icon).

Available Columns You Can Toggle

You can turn each of the following columns on or off:

📄 Basic Info

  • ID – Internal system ID
  • Description – Item summary
  • Part Number – Your unique product code
  • Supplier – Vendor or manufacturer

💰 Cost & Pricing

  • Material Cost
  • Material Markup
  • Material Price
  • Labor Cost
  • Labor Markup
  • Labor Price

📦 Inventory Tracking

  • Quantity
  • Quantity Allocated
  • Quantity Available
  • Threshold
  • Locations

📏 Units & Codes

  • Unit Type
  • Cost Code

📌 Tip: You can hide unused fields to streamline your view for estimating, procurement, or job costing.


🧠 Real Use Cases

  • Estimating team: Hide internal cost data, show only prices and descriptions.
  • Procurement team: Show suppliers, costs, quantities, and thresholds.
  • Operations manager: Include labor pricing, quantity available, and cost codes.

📝 Column Settings Are Per-User

Changes you make to your column view are specific to your login:

  • Other users in your account will have their own settings.
  • Great for teams that need different views of the same data.
