🧱 Project Analytics in Ontraccr

Build Pre-Filtered Dashboards for Any Project

Ontraccr’s Project Analytics feature allows you to generate dashboards and reports specifically filtered to a given project. This is ideal for project managers and operations leads who want centralized visibility into cost, time, and productivity metrics for a specific job or contract.

📍 Where to Find Project Analytics

  1. Navigate to the Projects page.
  2. Click on any individual project.
  3. Switch to the Analytics tab.

This area lets you:

  • Create project-specific dashboards
  • Build reports that are auto-filtered by project
  • Combine time, board, and form data into a single view

🛠️ Creating Dashboards for Projects

Step-by-Step:

  1. Go to the Analytics tab in any project.
  2. Click New Dashboard.
  3. Use the edit pencil icon to rename it (e.g., Project Performance Overview).
  4. Click EditAdd Widget to insert analytics.

Widgets must be created from reports built in this project context.

📊 Creating Reports for Projects

Click the Reports button to build project-specific analytics.

Available Sources:

  • Time Cards
  • Boards
  • Forms

These sources are nearly identical to the Analytics Page, but are automatically filtered to the current project.

Time Cards (Project-Filtered)

  • Field: Hours Worked
  • Breakdowns: User, Hour Type, etc.
  • Display Types: Bar, Line, Table, Number
  • Use Case: Total hours worked on the project by user or cost code

Boards (Within the Project)

  • Select any board used within the project (e.g., Estimating, Service Tracker)
  • Configure reports using standard metrics like:
    • Number of Cards
    • Time in Status
    • Conversion Rates
    • New Cards in Status
  • Add custom field analytics (e.g., total quoted value, equipment hours)

Forms (Project-Specific Submissions)

  • Choose any relevant form used on the project (e.g., FLHA, Work Orders)
  • Use standard “Number of Submissions” report
  • Configure custom field-based analytics (e.g., most reported hazards, incident logs)

🔁 Dashboard Reuse Across Projects

Once you create a dashboard inside any project:

  • It becomes available across all projects
  • You only need to build it once
  • Each project will display its own data using the same dashboard layout

✅ This makes Project Analytics ideal for standardized performance reporting across jobs.

🧠 Use Case Example: Cost & Billing Snapshot

Create a dashboard showing:

  • Total labor cost (via time cards)
  • Total equipment/material cost (via form data)
  • Total billed (via board field)
  • Calculate profitability visually

Result: A single screen showing what’s been billed vs. what’s been spent on the project.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Reports created here are not visible from the main Analytics page
  • Only reports built in the project's Analytics tab can be added to that project’s dashboards
  • Each report is already scoped to that project—no need to manually filter
