- Go to their profile.
- Manually reset the password as above.
- Message them the new password offline (e.g., via SMS or email).
🔄 Changing User Role (Position)
You can change the user's role (called “Position”) at any time:
- Edit the user profile
- Select a new role under the Position field
- Submit the form
🧩 Reminder: Role determines what the user can see or do.
Make sure the new role has appropriate permissions configured under Settings > Roles and Permissions.
🔄 Editing Wage and Visibility
- The Hourly Wage field is editable by admins or managers with the Manage User Wage permission.
- Viewing this field requires the View User Wage permission.
- If these permissions aren’t enabled, the wage section won’t appear in the edit form.
🧽 Best Practices

---|---|
Resetting credentials | Always communicate the new password securely |
Changing roles | Double-check the impact on their access and restrictions |
Editing wage | Review job costing reports to confirm updates reflect correctly |
Adding labels or projects | Combine with role-based restrictions to control clock-in access |
