- Choose your desired sort option from the dropdown list.
✅ Cards in each column will instantly reorganize based on your selection.
📋 Sort Options Explained
Option | Description |
---|---|
Default (by creation date) | Shows cards in the order they were added |
Title A–Z | Sorts cards alphabetically by title |
Title Z–A | Reverse alphabetical sort |
Time in Status (Ascending) | Shows cards that have been in the current status the shortest amount of time first |
Time in Status (Descending) | Shows cards that have been in the current status the longest at the top |
⏱️ How to See “Time in Status”
- Hover your cursor over the small clock icon beneath a card’s title.
- A tooltip will display when the card entered its current status (e.g., “This card has been in this stage since Feb 14, 2025”).
This same data powers the Time in Status sorting options.
✅ Example Use Cases
Use Case | Sort Option | Why It Helps |
---|---|---|

HR wants to alphabetize candidates | Title A–Z | Easy reference and documentation |
Project manager wants to spot cards just moved into a stage | Time in Status (Ascending) | Monitor fresh activity |
🧠 Tips & Edge Cases
- Sort applies within each column, not across the whole board
- Sorting is a personal view — it doesn’t affect other users
- Combine with filters to sort only cards that match certain criteria (e.g., only Noah’s cards, sorted by time in status)
- The “Time in Status” sort is especially useful in approval workflows or task queues
