🗂️ Sorting Cards in Ontraccr: By Title, Status Time, and More

Overview

Ontraccr Boards let you sort cards to better organize and understand your workflows. You can sort by title, creation date, or how long a card has been in its current status — helping you prioritize and act with clarity.

🎯 Why Use Sorting?

Sorting helps when you want to:

  • View cards alphabetically or in a logical sequence
  • See what’s been sitting the longest in a given status
  • Organize cards by creation order
  • Identify stale tasks or cards needing attention

🧩 How to Sort Cards

  1. Open a board.
  2. Click the Sort icon located next to the Lock and Filter icons.
  3. Choose your desired sort option from the dropdown list.

✅ Cards in each column will instantly reorganize based on your selection.

📋 Sort Options Explained

OptionDescription

Title Z–AReverse alphabetical sort
Time in Status (Ascending)Shows cards that have been in the current status the shortest amount of time first
Time in Status (Descending)Shows cards that have been in the current status the longest at the top

⏱️ How to See “Time in Status”

  • Hover your cursor over the small clock icon beneath a card’s title.
  • A tooltip will display when the card entered its current status (e.g., “This card has been in this stage since Feb 14, 2025”).

This same data powers the Time in Status sorting options.
