📇 Address Book in the Mobile App: Create, Edit, and Share Contacts Across Customers & Vendors

🧭 Introduction

The Address Book in the Ontraccr mobile app gives users access to all saved contacts across customers and vendors — letting you manage and share key contacts between companies without duplicate entry.

This guide covers how to view, edit, link, and reuse contacts directly from the mobile app.

📍 Where to Find the Address Book

  1. Tap “More” from the bottom nav bar
  2. Tap “Address Book”

You’ll see a searchable list of all contacts saved under any customer or vendor profile.

👤 Viewing a Contact

Tap a contact in the list to open its full profile:

  • Name
  • Role (optional)
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Email (optional)
  • Shows which customer/vendor the contact is currently linked to

🔗 Share a Contact Across Multiple Clients or Vendors

To assign a contact to additional customers or vendors:

  1. Tap the contact
  2. Tap the three-dot connection icon (top-right)
  3. Select the customers or vendors you want to link this contact to
  4. Tap Done

✅ You can now reuse the same contact in dropdowns across all those profiles — no retyping needed.

✏️ Editing a Contact

  1. Tap the contact
  2. Tap the pencil icon (top-right)
  3. Edit any field:
    • Name (required)
    • Role, phone, email (optional)
  4. Tap Save (top-right) to update

Changes will reflect in every profile the contact is linked to.

➕ Adding a New Contact

You can add contacts from two places:

1. From the Address Book directly:

  • Tap the “+” icon (top-right)
  • Fill out:
    • Name (required)
    • Role, phone, email (optional)
  • Tap Save
  • Then link the contact to one or more customers/vendors via the steps above

2. From within a Customer or Vendor profile:

  • Open the profile
  • Navigate to the Address Book tab
  • Tap “+” and add the contact — it will be auto-linked to that profile

🔁 Shared Contact Behavior

  • Contacts are shared across customer and vendor profiles
  • Updating a contact updates it everywhere
  • If a contact moves companies, simply unshare from the old profile and add to the new one

Outcome

With the Address Book, mobile users can:

  • Maintain a single, reusable record for client/vendor contacts
  • Edit or share contacts across multiple profiles
  • Eliminate duplicate entry
  • Keep contact info up to date across teams and workflows
