Ontraccr’s Section Duplication feature allows users to create repeating blocks of questions within a form. This is ideal for capturing multiple items like photos, observations, inspections, or issue reports—without needing to predict how many entries someone might need.


🔁 What is Section Duplication?

When duplication is enabled for a section:

  • The form filler sees a “Duplicate Section” button
  • Clicking it copies the entire section, including all fields
  • They can add as many duplicates as needed

🛠 How to Enable Section Duplication

  1. Go to Step 2: Fields
  2. Click the gear icon ⚙️ next to the section name
  3. Check the box: Enable Section Duplication
  4. Save your changes

You’ll see a visual indicator confirming that duplication is enabled for that section.


📥 What Happens on the Form?

When filling out the form:

  • A “Duplicate Section” icon appears at the bottom of that section
  • Clicking it adds a copy of the section and its fields right below
  • The user can then repeat the process as many times as needed

💡 Tips for Designing Duplicate Sections

  • Use clear instructions in the section title (e.g., “Add a photo and description. Duplicate this section for each new photo.”)
  • Keep the section short and focused
