📈 Building and Viewing Project-Specific Analytics Dashboards in Ontraccr Overview

Want real-time insights into hours worked, costs incurred, or project performance?

In Ontraccr, every project can have its own custom analytics dashboard — helping you track important KPIs without leaving the project profile.

🎯 Why Use Project Analytics Dashboards?

  • Monitor time tracking, cost tracking, and billing at a project level.
  • Build visual reports that update automatically.
  • Share key project insights with PMs, Executives, and Clients.

    • Time Tracking reports
    • Board Card reports
    • Form-based reports
  • Click Submit to add the widget to your dashboard.

🧩 Step 3: Build a New Report (Optional)

To create a new report from scratch:

  1. Click the Reports button at the top right.
  2. Fill in:
    • Title (e.g., "Labor Hours - Project X")
    • Source Type:
      • Time Cards
      • Boards
      • Forms
  3. Set Filters:
    • Select date ranges (e.g., last 30 days).
    • Select specific boards or forms (if relevant).
  4. Choose Metrics:
    • Sum, Average, Group By User/Type, etc.

✅ Hit Save when done — it will be available for adding to your dashboard.

🧠 Tips for Building Great Project Dashboards

Keep it Focused:

Add only the 4–6 most critical reports for quick daily checks.

Use Date Filters:

Set smart ranges like “Last 30 Days” to keep data fresh automatically.

Group by User:

See which team members are contributing the most time or costs.

Create Templates:

Once you build a killer dashboard, it automatically becomes available across all projects — no need to rebuild it every time!

🔍 Viewing Project Analytics

  • Open any project.
  • Go to the Analytics tab.
  • View all your widgets and dashboards in one place.
  • Click into specific widgets to drill down deeper into the data.

✅ All data is specific to this project only!

🧠 Edge Cases and Notes

  • You can’t delete pre-built reports from here — manage reports centrally if needed.
  • Analytics tabs respect project types — if a tab is hidden for a project type, you won’t see analytics for that project.
  • Data updates automatically — no manual refresh needed.

Example Scenario

For a 6-month industrial build project, you:

  • Add a report showing total labor hours per week.
  • Add another showing total project costs vs. budget.
  • Add a work order tracking report from your custom board.

Your PMs can monitor trends daily without leaving the project view!

🚀 Summary

Project-specific analytics dashboards in Ontraccr make it easy to turn data into action — empowering teams to make smart, real-time decisions without complicated reporting setups.
