🧭 Introduction

The Ontraccr mobile app is designed to be intuitive and role-based — giving each user fast access to what matters most through the Action Center and bottom navigation menu. This guide walks you through logging in, navigating the app, and understanding how the Action Center works.


🚀 Getting Started with the Mobile App

✅ Where to Download

  • Available on both iOS App Store and Google Play Store
  • Search for "Ontraccr" and download the official mobile app

🔐 Logging In

  • Use the same username and password as you would for the web app
  • Login is also supported on tablets — same experience as smartphones

🧩 Default Landing Page: The Action Center

Once logged in, users land on the Action Center — a dashboard of shortcuts personalized by role (as defined by admin settings on the web).

📌 Key Features of the Action Center:

  • Fast access to core tools: Clock, Schedule, Tasks, Forms, etc.
  • Each tile is a shortcut to a full page in the app
  • Content and layout are controlled via:
    • Role permissions
    • Action Center customization from the web app

🔄 Refreshing the App: Your First Troubleshooting Step

🔁 How to Refresh:

  • Tap the refresh icon in the top-right of the Action Center
  • This reloads all cloud data and resets the app view

🔧 When to Use It:

  • Data seems outdated or missing
  • App is not loading shifts, forms, or other expected items

💡 Always try refreshing first before reporting a data sync issue.


📱 Understanding the Navigation Bar

Located at the bottom of the screen, the nav bar gives full access to major sections of the app.

🧭 Expand/Collapse Menu Blocks in the Action Center

Each Action Center item (like Schedule, Tasks, Board Cards) can be expanded or collapsed by tapping the downward arrow beside the title.

This helps you:

  • Focus on what you’re currently using
  • Hide tools you don’t need to access often

🔴 Offline Mode Indicator

If your app goes into offline mode, you’ll see a red bar across the top of the screen.

This means:

  • You currently have no internet signal
  • Any actions you take (e.g. form submission, time card edits) will be queued for upload once you reconnect

📝 Important: Photo uploads to board cards also work in offline mode, and sync when back online.
