Manual Forms Tab (Global, Project, Favorite Sections)
📘 Manual Forms Tab (Global, Project, Favorite Sections) Overview
The Manual tab in Ontraccr displays all the forms you're permitted to fill out manually—outside of automated workflows or assignments. This section helps users locate templates they can start independently, organized into three convenient categories:
- Favorite
- Project
- Global
Only forms with a Manual trigger enabled will appear here.
🧭 How to Access the Manual Forms Tab
- Navigate to:
Documents
→Forms
→Manual
🔐 Who Sees What?
- Access to forms in this tab is based on your role and permissions
- You will only see forms that:
- Are set up with a Manual trigger
- You have permission to fill out
📂 Tab Breakdown
1. Favorite
A customizable section to pin commonly used forms for fast access.
- Add a form to this list by clicking the star icon beside it
- Favorited forms can come from either the Global or Project tabs
- Use this section to save time scrolling through long lists
2. Project
Shows forms that are specifically assigned to a project, not general-purpose templates.
How Project Forms Are Created:
- Navigate to
Projects
→ select a project → go to the Forms tab - Add a global template and customize it for the project
- Once saved, it appears under Project in the Manual tab
📌 These forms are unique to the project and can include specific instructions, fields, or workflows.
3. Global
This tab includes all globally available form templates that you’re allowed to complete.
- These are not tied to a specific project
- Most companies configure general-purpose forms here
- This is the most commonly populated section in the Manual tab
📝 How to Fill Out a Manual Form
- Click on a form in any tab (Favorite, Project, Global)
- The digital version of the form will open
- Fill out the fields
- Click Submit to complete the form
🔍 Search Functionality
- At the top of the Manual tab, you can search for any form by name
- Especially useful if the Global tab contains many entries
🧠 Best Practices
- ⭐ Pin your most used forms to Favorite to reduce clicks
- Use Project-specific forms when workflows or fields differ by job
- Keep the Global tab organized—avoid cluttering it with highly specific templates
