Customizing the “Customers” Label

🔧 Customizing the “Customers” Label in Ontraccr

In Ontraccr, the default label for clients is “Customers.” However, if your organization prefers a different term like “Clients” or something more domain-specific, you can easily change this label throughout the platform.

This article walks you through how to rename the “Customers” field so it reflects your preferred terminology across the web app.

📍 Where This Change Appears

Changing the “Customers” label affects:

  • The Contacts tab
  • Sidebar menu labels
  • Headers and references throughout customer-related workflows

For example, once renamed to “Clients,” the Contacts menu will display Clients instead of Customers.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Navigate to Settings
    • Click the Settings button with the gear icon (⚙️)
    • Select Customization.
  2. Go to Profile Names
    • Under the Customization section, click on Profile Names.

  4. Click Edit
    • Find the row labeled “Customers.”
    • Click the Edit button beside it.

💡 Example Use Case

If your business deals with clients rather than customers, this lets your entire team—and your client-facing portals—reflect terminology that feels familiar and professional to your stakeholders.
