Column-Specific Filtering in the Form Log
📘 Column-Specific Filtering in the Master Form Log Overview
In addition to the advanced Filter Panel, the Master Form Log in Ontraccr allows you to quickly filter and sort directly within individual table columns. This is especially useful for fast lookups and lightweight filtering without setting up a full filter view.
🔍 What You Can Filter or Sort by
Each column in the Master Form Log offers in-line filtering or sorting behavior:
Column Name | Supports Filter? | Supports Sort? | Details |
---|---|---|---|
Users | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Click filter icon to search/select the form submitter |
Form | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Filter by form template name |
Number | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Filter by the exact form number |
Client/Customer | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Filter by customer tagged in the form |
All Projects | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Filter by project name if form includes a project dropdown |
Card | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Filter by board card if form was submitted from one |
Created On | ❌ No | ✅ Yes | Sort by newest or oldest submission date |
Last Updated | ❌ No | ✅ Yes | Sort by most recent update timestamp |
Status | ✅ Yes | ❌ No | Filter by current/custom status values |
🧭 How to Use Column Filters
- Locate the column you want to filter
- Click the small filter icon beside the column name
- Use the dropdown or search bar to narrow your results
- The log will refresh automatically
📌 These filters work only within the current date range applied to the log. If you don't see expected results, ensure the date filter is wide enough (e.g., set to “All Time”).
🗂 Column: Form Number
- The Number column reflects Ontraccr’s auto-generated form ID
- If your form template uses "Add Number" in its Automatically Collected Data section, this ID will appear here
- You can filter by typing the exact number (e.g.,
#61
)
🧠 Sorting Tips
- Click on Created On or Last Updated headers to toggle between newest → oldest or vice versa
- Sorting does not require opening the filter panel
⚠️ Important Notes
- If the form you're looking for doesn't show up in the list, verify that it's:
- Within the current pay period or date range
- Tagged to the correct project/client/board, if you're filtering by those fields
- The column filters and full-page filter panel can be used together or separately
