Saving and Reusing Board-Based Search Queries

Saving and Reusing Board-Based Search Queries

📌 Summary

Just like form queries, board-based search queries in Ontraccr can be saved and reused. This is ideal for teams that regularly filter boards for specific cards — such as active service requests, project tracking by customer, or cards in specific statuses.

💾 When to Save a Board Query

Use a saved query when:

  • You frequently filter the same card design and board(s)
  • You want quick access to results for weekly or daily reviews
  • You want consistent views for common tracking workflows (e.g. overdue tickets, awarded projects, lost bids)

🛠 How to Save a Board Query

  1. Open the Boards tab in the Advanced Search panel
  2. Click Open Search
  3. Click the Edit icon (🖉) at the top of the slider panel
  4. Name your query (e.g., "Awarded Projects – Q3 2025")
  5. Click Save
  6. Finish setting your filter conditions and run the query

The saved query now includes both:

  • The query name
  • The filter settings you configured

🔁 How to Reuse a Saved Board Query

  1. Go to the Boards tab
  2. At the top of the page, click the “Select a Query” dropdown
  3. Choose any previously saved board search

The system will:

  • Auto-fill all saved conditions
  • Immediately run the query
  • Display results grouped by board and stage

🧯 Notes

  • Board queries are saved separately from form queries
  • Saved searches only appear in the context (tab) they were created
  • Saved queries are useful across all boards using the same card template
