The Ontraccr mobile app allows workers to **scan a QR code** on a piece of equipment to instantly open its full profile. This feature is perfect for fast equipment access, inspections, and check-ins on job sites — no searching required.

This guide explains how QR scanning works and how to take action (like submitting forms) directly from the equipment profile.

## **🎯 Why Use Equipment QR Codes?**

-   Quickly access the correct equipment without searching lists

## **📸 How to Scan a QR Code**

1.  Tap the **Camera icon** in the bottom nav bar
2.  Aim your phone at the **QR code label** on the equipment
3.  The app will detect the code and display a **“Click to Open”** button
4.  Tap the button — the **equipment profile opens instantly**

## **🔍 What You Can Do from the Scanned Profile**

Once the profile opens, you can:

### **✅ View Equipment Details**

-   Equipment name, status, and metadata
-   Check-in location
-   Associated tasks and notes

### **✅ Submit Forms**

-   Tap the **form icon** to select and fill out a relevant form
-   Examples:
    -   **Inspection checklists**
