# Customizing the “Customers” Label

## **🔧 Customizing the “Customers” Label in Ontraccr**

In Ontraccr, the default label for clients is “Customers.” However, if your organization prefers a different term like “Clients” or something more domain-specific, you can easily change this label throughout the platform.

This article walks you through how to rename the “Customers” field so it reflects your preferred terminology across the web app.

## **📍 Where This Change Appears**

Changing the “Customers” label affects:

- The **Contacts** tab
- Sidebar menu labels
- Headers and references throughout customer-related workflows

For example, once renamed to “Clients,” the Contacts menu will display **Clients** instead of **Customers**.

## 📌 **Notes**

- This only changes the **label** seen in the UI. It does **not** affect any underlying behavior or functionality.
- Other areas of the platform that can be renamed using this same method include Projects and Vendors (if applicable).
- This customization is currently applied only on the **web app**.
